Qatar Planning Council, a Qatar state organisation, responsible
for financial, economic, social and statistical planning
for the country, has awarded Global Technology Services
(GTS), an ENOC subsidiary providing IT services, with
a contract to replace the current core financial and
administrative systems to an Enterprise Resource Planning
(ERP) system.
The ambitious project, which serves to automate financials,
supply chain, HR and payroll operations, includes
the implementation of various components of Oracle
Financials, Oracle Purchasing, Oracle HRMS, self-service
HR and learning management modules.
Commenting on this significant win, Surya Mayya, General
Manager of GTS said: “The Planning Council project
is a strategic win for GTS as it is a stepping stone
to future projects with all other government organisations
in Qatar. Our extensive experience in executing complex
implementations as well as our reference implementations
of Oracle within Qatar were critical differentiators
that gave us the winning edge in this deal.”
As the leading IT services provider in the region,
GTS provides a spectrum of IT consulting and implementation
services across diverse industries such as oil and
gas, trading and distribution, banking and finance,
retail automation and manufacturing.
