GTS completes Sharjah Islamic Bank HRMS project at Record time.

Global Technology Services (GTS) has recently completed the implementation of Oracle HRMS Suite at Sharjah Islamic Bank.  The implementation bags a success story for GTS with a record implementation time of just 75 days.

Sharjah Islamic Bank is both one of the UAE’s leading financial institutions and Sharjah’s biggest bank. The bank provides innovative financial products and services within the context of Islamic Shari’a laws to individuals, small and medium sized businesses and corporations across the UAE. 

Sharjah Islamic Bank decided to upgrade its HR system by installing the state-of-the-art Oracle Human Resources Management System (HRMS). With its rapid expansion, Sharjah Islamic Bank has been adding new talent and staff to manage the increasing activities of the bank. The upgrade will provide automation aimed at modernizing and enhancing efficiency of the HR systems.

The implementation spans various components of Oracle HRMS including core HR, Payroll, HR Self Service, HR Intelligence, and i-Recruitment. The Phase I of the project was to have a rapid implementation of Oracle HR and Payroll modules.

Commenting on the success of the implementation, Ahmed Kalim, CIO of the bank said “It was only a short 75 odd days ago when we shook hands and jointly committed ourselves in undertaking the challenge of going LIVE for the September payroll. This mammoth task could not have been possible had we not trusted each other, constantly communicated with on another, supported and encouraged decisions which ultimately led us to the success of Phase I of this project.”

Commenting on the success of the implementation, Magesh Srinivasan, Program Manager of GTS said “Our experience in the implementation of HRMS suite in the banking arena, rich experience of our consultants and our implementation methodology was the key to this implementation success”

GTS implements Oracle e-Business suite solutions at Qatar Planning Council

Qatar Planning Council, a Qatar state organisation, responsible for financial, economic, social and statistical planning for the country, has awarded Global Technology Services (GTS), an ENOC subsidiary providing IT services, with a contract to replace the current core financial and administrative systems to an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

The ambitious project, which serves to automate financials, supply chain, HR and payroll operations, includes the implementation of various components of Oracle Financials, Oracle Purchasing, Oracle HRMS, self-service HR and learning management modules.

Commenting on this significant win, Surya Mayya, General Manager of GTS said: “The Planning Council project is a strategic win for GTS as it is a stepping stone to future projects with all other government organisations in Qatar. Our extensive experience in executing complex implementations as well as our reference implementations of Oracle within Qatar were critical differentiators that gave us the winning edge in this deal.”

Dar Al-Arkan,Real Estate Development Co signed GTS for Oracle eBusienss Suite Implementation

Dar Al- Arkan (DAR) was established in 1993 with the primary objective of creating decent housing for Saudi middle income society. Through its value based principles of corporate governance and operational efficiency, DAR has gained a strong brand equity within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and has launched a 5 year plan to complete over 65,000 residential units covering the expanse of the Kingdom. DAR desired to revamp and modernize its information systems backbone to meet the requirements of its real estate business. Dar AL-Arkan signed the contract  with GTS to implement the Oracle eBusiness Suite along with GTS Property Apps extension.

GTS initiative in Africa gains momentum with major Oracle ERP win in Nigeria with Oando plc

Oando Group – Nigeria’s largest energy group and a leading integrated energy solutions provider recently signed up with Global Technology Services (GTS) an ENOC subsidiary, to implement the Oracle E-Business suite across the group companies.  

This is a prestigious win for GTS and is a reflection of its capability, experience in carrying out complex implementations and leadership in the Oil & Gas sector. GTS is implementing the solution which will help integrate all the critical functions of the project will help integrate all the critical functions of the organization, enabled by a single system and improve business efficiency through automation of several business processes such as oil inventory management, product costing, order management, distribution, customer service and finance.

Upon conclusion of this project, some of the values to be realized would cut across several processes which include, integration of Group’s financial information, integration of customer order management, enhancement of lubricant manufacturing processes, better management of inventory and whole supply chain process and standardization of HR & Payroll information across the group.
